aCTIVE MISSIONARIES

Savannah (Bruch) & Indigo Vlad

Ciao a Tutti (Hello everyone!)
My name is Savannah, and I have been serving full time on the mission field in Italy since 2016. I originally went to Montebelluna Italy to attend Calvary Chapel Bible College in 2013, and then after I graduated the Lord made it clear he had plans for me to stay and serve his church and people here, so that's what I did! Since 2019 I have lived and served in many different fields of ministry in Torino, Italy including, teaching in the Bible college, children’s ministry, church planting, refugees ministry, discipleship, working in different Christian English programs, and now I find myself running a biblical sexuality ministry called Senza Vergogna (Without Shame)! I met my husband Indigo here at the Calvary Torino church, where we both attend and serve, and we dated for 3 years before marrying in May 2023. Now we are looking forward to the arrival of our first baby in October and just praying for Gods direction and wisdom for all the different ministries we both serve in as life changes over the next year, and trusting He will lead us for our good and His glory in all things!
Thank you again for your support and prayers, we love our “Home Church Famiglia”!

personal updates

VLAD FAMILY UPDATE
Baby Vlad is growing healthy and strong, in our last ultrasound they said I was already a bit further along than they thought based on the length and size, so the updated due date is October 7th! We will find out the gender on the 26th of May, one day before our two year anniversary! If you guys could be praying I have my Visa conversion/renewal appointment on the 19th of May and hope it will be a smooth and quick appointment, as sometimes I have waited up to 7hrs in line at the visa building and most of the times there are no bathrooms or places to sit. In other news we are super excited to be coming to the states in June for a few weeks of family time, ministry and hopefully some rest! <IMG_9171.jpeg>
As always, we love you guys and appreciate your prayer and support throughout these years! The work here wouldn’t be possible without you all! We can’t wait to be together again for a bit, and God bless you!
In Christ,
Savy and Indy

MAKING NEW FRIENDS
In the last couple of months I made a new friend in church, who also happens to live in our neighborhood named Wairimu. I found out she was from Kenya, and instantly started sharing about my time living there and going to school in Nairobi, and from then on we clicked and have enjoyed getting to know each other over coffee and Kenyan food at her house. She is newer in her faith and has already asked me questions and advice regarding getting baptized and family issues, and I have a feeling she is someone the Lord is putting in my life to disciple and watch out for as a little sister in Christ. Please be praying that I would have wisdom and discernment to know how to encourage her in her walk with the Lord, also through harder family decisions, and for the time and intentionality to invest in a this new friendship.

Calvary Torino

Our church really is growing to capacity and we were blessed to have a full house on Easter, plus more with people having standing room only in the back!
As most of you know we have been praying, looking and hoping for a building of our own one day. Well it seems the Lord may have provided that place for us! Its still up in the air as it will take a big amount to make the down payment in July, but up to this point we have had nothing but favor and open doors with the owner and realtors and they even let us have the keys and go on Sunday by ourselves as a church to go see the place and also worship and pray over the place!
This place would be a rent to own, and in need of some construction to make it useable, but we trust the Lord would provide the resources as well as the hands to help make it happen. Please be praying with us for this building and the Lords will, and also Gods provision if it is meant to happen by this July. ( Pastor Dave will be taking a trip across the states visiting churches in June in order to also share about Calvary Torino and share what we believe to be the Lords leading for us, An extra positive thing about this trip is Indigo will be joining him for one of the weeks as he travels from Utah to California to meet with different church leaders, and he is very excited and grateful for this opportunity to support and come alongside Dave in this way and is looking forward to see you all again!)

Senza Vergogna - Biblical Sexuality meeting

This month in our meeting it was all about helping parents understand the main reasons why kids watch or use regularly porn and how to also prevent and respond in godly and healthy ways. We had a nice turn out of about 11 families from our church, and I was also blessed to have Dan and Angela from Liberati in Cristo “Freedom in Christ” come to share in the discussions and Q&A time. I know the parents were genuinely grateful for this opportunity to learn, and also share openly about personal experiences they have had already and felt encouraged to hear from different couples, knowing they weren’t alone in facing some of these tricky and difficult conversations with their children, both young and old. In the end we had a sweet time of prayer together and parents also are already asking for a similar event for their teens. ( Please pray with me for wisdom as this is a great idea, but one I know that will have to be for the future and something that can only happen if other people on the S.V team also feel the call and desire to help organize it and make it happen). Right now the team, alongside 8 additional participants from collaborating ministries and individuals who are praying to be involved in S.V in the future, are all involved in a training being down by Authentic Intimacy helping us to understand more deeply Gods design for biblical sexuality and even sexual discipleship. Please be praying that these next 3 sessions ( every Friday evening ) will have a deep rooted impact in our hearts and lives, and we would be able to understand how to apply it, and share it-first personally but also in our churches, homes, and relationships.

Più Forti Project 2!

For those of you who remember the first Più Forti Project ( Stronger Together), the idea was to collaborate with different churches to create music based on bible verses for kids in Italian, but something also a bit more modern that was enjoyable for kids of all ages to listen to, and watch.  There were 10 music videos created to go along with each song, plus a sunday school curriculum and additional materials, all put online for free, for all the churches and believers in Italy.
Well this new project is all about reaching teenagers for Jesus with the same idea. This month the album was officially released and videos are now being recorded. New songs, new sounds and this time a lot more focus on creating the videos for social media, since that is where the kids are found these days. There is also another Sunday school curriculum that goes along with each song, and I had the privilege to write one of the lessons. Once again this content is all for free online and I will link the website so you guys can check it out and even share it if you like.
Please pray these resources would really be a blessing to the Italian believers, but especially that the message would reach the young hearts of this country and it would draw them into a relationship with Jesus for the first time, or a deeper understanding of His Word and love for them,

Ces-To Kids Clubs

This Month in our kids clubs we got to teach the kids about having a forgiving heart like Jesus, as well as learning about cultures around the world. The kids got to see different objects lessons about how God washes away our sins and forgives us,( We had special Jesu soap!)  so that we can then forgive others. Most of the kids come from Christian homes, so they already had a good understanding of sin, and salvation, but we pray that seeds are continually being planted and that they would have a genuine relationship with Jesus one day, not just a head knowledge.
The kids also got to each share about thier country of origin when we had our show and tell at the end of the month, and it was really fun and encouraging to see how many of them have grown in their English comprehension and speaking abilities.
Please continue to pray for the school as these kids clubs come to a close at the end of May. ( the 24th will be my last day as well). They are still hoping and praying for more kids to sign up, and in need of an administrator, as well as wisdom on how to move forward, especially if numbers remain small.
